Dabune Marble Soda Tourism Factory is located at No. 11, Minsheng Road, Tongluo Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan's only indoor tourism factory themed around marble soda. It operates by appointment and is ideal for families with children as well as teens curious about retro toys and technology. The 1.5-hour tour includes a marble soda video presentation, historical introduction, DIY marble soda making, puffed rice experience, and free-play marble games. Adult tickets are NT$250, free for children under three, and visits are rain-or-shine. Hours: 10:00-17:00 daily. The factory offers guided tours and diverse interactive experiences, making it a popular family attraction for a Miaoli day trip.

Shangshun Recreation World is located in Toufen, Miaoli, Taiwan's largest indoor theme amusement park. Spanning six floors and over ten thousand ping of indoor space, it integrates a theme park, shopping mall, and Junlu Hotel. The facility is分级 by height, suitable for children from age 2 to 12 and up, with thrill rides adults can also enjoy. Highlights include Asia's first 5D sensory park, VR immersive games, a rock climbing and wall running kinetic zone, and a large ball pit shooting area - all indoors, unaffected by rainy weather. Visitors can pay per ride via EasyCard or purchase package tickets to experience everything in one visit.

Chocolate Cloud Estate is located in Dahu area, Miaoli County, operating for over twenty years and dedicated to presenting the complete story and production journey of chocolate. The grounds include a Chocolate Story Hall, DIY chocolate experience area, 3D micro-movie theater, plus Goldberg creative cuisine restaurant and highly-rated accommodation services. Visitors can sample a wide range of handmade chocolates and specialty desserts, and experience the full bean-to-bar process from cacao bean to finished product. Admission is NT$200 per person, which can offset NT$150 of in-park purchases. Free parking is provided. Ideal for families and chocolate lovers visiting together.

Shitan Wenshui Park is located beside Wenshui Old Street in Shitan Township, Miaoli County. It is a free inclusive park shaped like the Hakka tradition's 'tea shou' (tea warming basket). The park features Taiwan's only tea-shou-shaped terrazzo giant slide, with three chutes of varying heights and slopes, plus climbing frames, balance beams, swings, seesaws, and other diverse play equipment suitable for children of all ages. The park offers public restrooms and free parking and is open 24 hours, allowing families to come for play anytime. Visitors can also stroll through Wenshui Old Street to sample Hakka snacks.

Luyi Mountain Villa is located in Yuanli, Miaoli County, a family-friendly vacation village that blends forest nature with exotic themed architecture. The spacious grounds offer wooden cabins and homestay rooms ideal for family stays. On-site features include large grassy meadows, sand pits, DIY handicrafts, Hakka tea-grinding and mochi experiences, small animal interactions, and shuttle rides around the park, plus photo spots such as Dutch windmills, Japanese torii gates, European-style streets, and Hobbiton-style houses. The hosts prepare handmade breakfasts and provide attentive service, creating a warm home-like atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for escaping the city bustle and getting close to nature.

Miaoli Train Head Park is located at No. 130, Yingcai Road, Miaoli City, adjacent to Miaoli Train Station and within walking distance. Originally the railway heritage display hall of the Taiwan Railways Miaoli Locomotive Branch, the site was re-planned and officially opened in April 2025, integrating railway history, Hakka culture, animals, and creative cultural elements to create an indoor family attraction that combines education and entertainment. Real locomotives and a turntable are preserved on-site, with mini-train rides and cute installations such as cat train conductors, suitable for family outings, romantic dates, and railway enthusiasts. General admission is NT$100, NT$50 for Miaoli County residents, free for those under three and TRA employees. Convenient parking is nearby.
